About The Position
Plan Building will require extensive training on the relationship between CPT/HCPC codes and diagnosis codes. Applicant will be required to know how to read a schedule of benefits and the plan document language. Applicant must be able to decipher prior plans and their benefits, then apply knowledge to current and new plan documents and schedules. Problem solving skills are a must. There will be training in GBAS and in VBA simultaneously in order to be proficient in both. This is not a remote position. Candidates must be able and willing to report to the Amarillo, Texas office M-F from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

- ICD-10 knowledge/experience
- CPT/HCPC knowledge/experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in multiple claims paying software including Sungard’s GBAS and VBA
- Extensive medical coding and billing experience including knowledge of claims appeals guidelines established by the DOL
- Experience building automation requirements for medical and dental plans
- Excellent comprehension of CPT/HCPC and ICD-10 relationship factors regarding billing and payment
- Working knowledge of correct claims billing initiatives to include identification of medical billing errors such as unbundling and mutually inclusive codes and scenarios
- Ability to share ideas, provide feedback respectfully, and actively listen to others in order to trouble shoot potential plan building hurdles
