Plaintiff's Personal Injury Attorney
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our Plaintiffs Practice. In this role, you will provide legal counsel to clients, perform legal research, draft documents, and conduct depositions, appear in Court, litigate and settle cases. You will work closely with paralegals and other support staff, associate attorneys and the managing partner and active trial attorney Mitchell Proner, to provide excellent legal services to our clients. Our office is midtown Manhattan, right across the street form Grand Central Station. Position will be Monday -Friday in office. If you are able to handle a caseload independently and have a passion for your clients and the law, we want to hear from you.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience as an attorney in New York Personal injury practice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Spanish speaking a plus due to heavy Latino client base
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, settle and/or litigate labor law, premises, and motor vehicle accident cases
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare pleadings, discovery demands and responses, make and defend motions for discovery, dispositive motions, motions in limine, etc., and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
- Prepare for mediation and trials
- Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates
- Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records
- Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants
