As a Software Developer in Places Technology Services, you will provide your technical expertise through hands-on development to ensure that the applications we build are set up for long-term success. Our Software Developers work with a cross-functional team of Program Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other developers to holistically understand the needs of our business partners and empower them to be successful.

  • Assess business requirements and estimate delivery times.
  • Convert requirements into a technical development plan for applications.
  • Meet regularly with cross-functional teams to track project progress.
  • Communicate updates clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Plan for and identify risks, tackling issues as they arise to keep projects on track.
  • Synthesize the needs of many cross-functional partners into a coherent process model.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and research reported issues, providing recommendations.
  • Design and maintain a well-formed API using Node.js and Typescript.
  • Refactor existing applications and build new ones using frontend frameworks.
  • Design and implement efficient data models for relational databases.
  • Containerize frontend and backend applications using Docker.
  • Write semantic HTML to craft accessible websites.
  • Work closely with other software developers to ensure standards and guidelines are implemented consistently.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and identifying reported issues.
  • Ability to design and maintain APIs using Node.js and Typescript.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks like Vue, React, or Svelte.
  • Experience designing and implementing data models for relational databases.
  • Experience with containerization of applications (e.g., Docker).
  • Strong understanding of semantic HTML for accessible web design.
