The Program Supervisor at Cal Voices plays a crucial role in delivering contracted peer support and family advocacy services within Placer County's Children's System of Care (CSOC). This position is directly accountable to the Family Advocacy Program Manager and is tasked with supervising, training, and supporting a team of nine peer line staff and two peer leads. The supervisor is responsible for fostering positive working relationships with County staff and collaborative partners, ensuring the smooth operation of the program through effective administrative functions. Additionally, the Program Supervisor oversees the program's data collection and reporting requirements, addressing complex family advocacy matters that arise within the program. This role demands reliability, accuracy, maturity, critical thinking, sound independent judgment, and a strong work ethic. Given the fast-paced nature of the work environment, the supervisor must possess advanced organizational skills, personal flexibility, internal motivation, and a sense of humor to navigate the frequent shifts in priorities and unexpected tasks. Maintaining Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification is essential, along with specialization in Parent, Caregiver, and Family Member roles and completion of an approved peer supervisor training. As a peer-run, grassroots behavioral health advocacy agency, Cal Voices requires that the Program Supervisor has personal lived experience as a parent or primary caregiver of a child or youth with complex behavioral health needs. Familiarity with California's Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS), the Children's System of Care, and the Adult System of Care is critical. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of self-help, wellness, resiliency, recovery concepts, and the fundamental principles of peer support and family advocacy. Individuals who have navigated public behavioral health services in California, are bilingual/bicultural, or identify as members of traditionally underserved populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Fluency in Spanish or another threshold language is also highly desired.
