Placement Counselor
About The Position

We serve those with disabilities and people facing tough socio-economic conditions. We believe everyone deserves fulfilling jobs, educational opportunities, and access to vital services. We currently have an opportunity as a Placement Counselor. The Work Ready program provides employment-oriented services to those receiving Public Assistance benefits, including those who require specific help managing barriers to self-sufficiency. This role, located in our office in Center City Philadelphia, offers flexibility and a hybrid environment. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate community service sites, job search and job placement activities; place clients at those sites
- Arrange for on-site employer presentations
- Develop ongoing relationships with employers
- Facilitate employment and other related workshops
