About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides excellent customer service to all Pop-Up Pizza customers and co-workers. Prepares and bakes pizzas and maintains a high level of cleanliness by performing the following duties, in accordance with all Company standards and procedures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Pizza Chefs must be able to work quickly while under pressure and should be knowledgeable about state and local health regulations that apply to restaurants. Ensure optimal level of sanitation and safety standards in the work area at all times. Monitor and maintain a clean working area and cooking surfaces to make pizzas. Maintain and operate all large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and deep fryers. Evaluate all food requirements and maintain the standard level and quantity for the same at all times. Coordinate with customers to take all food and drink orders and ensure appropriate payments from all customers. Manage all food order slips, administer all verbal instructions, and perform all cooking as per instructions. Prepare all raw materials required for cooking, such as cutting all vegetables and preparing the dough. Monitor and ensure exact measurement of all ingredients for all food items. Prepare all packaged food items and ensure warmth for the same, such as hamburgers. Analyze all customer orders and ensure the appropriate number of orders for all customers Washes dishes, operates pizza oven, assembles pizza boxes, sweeps floors, and performs closing tasks to company standards. Must familiarize himself or herself with Pop-Up Pizza’s Employee Handbook and Operations Manual and follow all policies and procedures outlined in these documents. Requirements

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous pizza-making experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Food Handler’s Card
  • Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Previous working knowledge of a point of sales system is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
