About The Position
PIZZA & BEER is the latest venture from Eastern Market Brewing Co. Join Elephant & Co. and become part of our growth story, delivering Detroit-style pizza and market fresh beer to our community. We’re on the hunt for a dedicated Pizza Cook who is passionate about creating true Detroit-style pizzas that pair perfectly with Eastern Market Brewing Co beer. Our team is all about FRESH and we take pride in sourcing ingredients locally and having a scratch kitchen. This role will play a crucial part in making our guests' culinary experience awesome as we love putting fun flavor twists on this classic Detroit pie. We are proud of our pizza staples, but weekly rotation is what keeps bringing people back!
Requirements
- Experience working as a prep cook or line cook, preferably in a pizza kitchen.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring every pizza that leaves our kitchen is nothing short of perfection.
- Able to thrive under pressure, juggling multiple tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Scheduling availability nights and weekends
Responsibilities
- Crafting Detroit-style pizzas, ensuring each bite is baked to perfection
- Prep fresh, dough to ensure the right texture, crispness, and thickness for Detroit-style pizzas
- Setting up and stocking stations to ensure a streamlined service
- Keep the kitchen smoothly operating by adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Collaborate with our team of pizza enthusiasts to ensure a seamless operation
- Prepping ingredients including dicing, slicing, mixing
- Maintaining inventory pars on the line
