Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak simple sentences required.
  • Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions and standard work.
  • Previous powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass written and practical powered industrial truck certification upon hire and in accordance with OSHA and company policy.
  • Must be familiar with American units of measurement for weight, distance, and time.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, and division.
  • Ability to recognize problems and problem solve and effectively and clearly communicate those to team.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement preferred.
  • Requires performing various production activities on parts and materials weighing up to 100 pounds each.
  • Basic computer skills - keyboarding and Windows.

Responsibilities

  • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards as set by Safety, Quality, 5s and AMS functions as set by your leader and position.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner not to harm people, damage equipment, facilities, materials or trailers.
  • Maintain powered industrial truck in accordance with the daily checklist.
  • Contact appropriate personnel to repair or maintain equipment to ensure it is in safe working order.
  • Load, transport and deposit materials to proper area as determined by schedule and assigned work.
  • Support production and/or warehousing operations to achieve optimum efficiencies while operating in a safe manner.
  • Operator simple hand or power tools as needed.
  • Complete all documentation required.
  • Occasionally lift and carry materials as needed using proper ergonomic techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
