JOB SUMMARY: The Pit/Tanker Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating the wastewater system while also ensuring all in bound bulk material is sampled and unloaded into the correct tanks. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1 year experience in an industrial environment
Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the US
Be at least 18 years of age
Project a professional appearance with the ability to represent our company in a positive manner to our customers and associates
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
Ability to organize and maintain a safe and clean work environment

Nice To Haves

2+ years in a chemical production environment

Responsibilities

Wear mandatory PPE at all times.
Use forklift to retrieve and stage chemicals used for wastewater treatment.
Understand how to hook up and use a diaphragm pump.
Pull and prep samples for testing Zinc.
Have knowledge of the perimeters set for the wastewater system and understand how to trouble shoot and adjust to meet those perimeters and to keep the system operating.
Be able to operate the wastewater system in automatic and manual.
Keep the pit tanks and drains clean of debris and trash.
Complete truck unloading log and manufacturing log documentation in compliance with company requirements, policies, and procedures.
Ensure that all drivers sign in and follow all safety requirements.
Ensure that every tanker is sampled and unloaded into the correct tank.
Verify that there is adequate room in the bulk tanks before unloading tankers.
Maintain a safe, clean, and dry work area at all times.
Complete other duties and special projects upon request.
