About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Operate a front-end loader to safely and efficiently feed the crushing plant and load trucks, while reporting directly to the Production Supervisor or Plant Management. Conduct pre-shift inspections, perform routine maintenance, and promptly report equipment issues to maintenance personnel. Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure roads and berms meet or exceed MSHA standards. Support general pit maintenance activities, including grading, dust control, and drainage. Ensure all pit operations comply with company safety policies and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs, pit conditions, and equipment performance. Assist in training and mentoring new pit loader operators to promote a culture of safety and accountability. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment, especially front-end loaders.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to identify and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Willingness to train and mentor new operators as needed.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Compliance with all company safety policies and federal regulations is required.
