Lacey’s Spring is an open-pit limestone quarry seeking a Pit Loader for our operation located in Lacey’s Spring, AL. The Pit Loader Operator will be primarily responsible for safely loading, moving, and managing material within the quarry to support production operations. Newton County Stone is an open-pit limestone mine/quarry seeking a Pit Loader for our operation located in Lacey’s Spring, AL. The Pit Loader Operator will be primarily responsible for safely loading, moving, and managing material within the quarry to support production operations. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Learning and understanding our safety culture and implementing all of Rogers Group’s safety principles without compromise Operate front-end loader to move and load shot rock, crushed stone, or overburden safely and efficiently. Maintain a consistent feed to the plant/crusher while minimizing downtime and spillage. Plant maintenance and clean up when needed Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs. Assist with maintaining haul roads, loading areas, and stockpiles to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. Communicate effectively with the plant operator, haul truck drivers, and other pit personnel using radios and hand signals. May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist with other areas as necessary
