About The Position
The Pit Foreman supervises the day-to-day activities, and assesses the resources needed to complete daily excavation, hauling and stockpile of plant feed for plant sand & gravel production needs. The Pit Foreman manages the general pit production staff, delegates tasks to team members, and manages the overall pit performance of providing feed to the plant, removal of overburden, water management, equipment maintenance, and employee schedule. They observe all activities in the pit and maintain documentation that measures production accomplished. The Pit Foreman provides the management and technical direction for the site’s safety, quality, productivity, and cost controls. The Pit Foreman reports to the Site Superintendent.
