About The Position
Pip's Original is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at the Beaverton location. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $16, with the potential to earn an average of $25-28 per hour when tips are included. As we approach our busy season, we are looking for someone who can commit to working 28-32 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts by trading and covering. Please note that working most weekends is a requirement for this role. Candidates must possess the humility to accept constructive feedback and demonstrate a willingness to grow both personally and professionally. The work environment can be loud and stressful, especially during peak hours, and it is essential for candidates to be able to handle such conditions without succumbing to anxiety or panic. The role involves operating high-temperature machinery, including a doughnut machine that requires constant attention while simultaneously preparing and topping doughnuts. Candidates must be prepared to engage in various tasks, including cleaning and maintaining the workspace, which can become messy during busy periods. We emphasize the importance of being adaptable and ready to work in a dynamic environment where tasks can vary significantly from one moment to the next. All team members will be cross-trained on our four main stations, rotating every 90 minutes to prevent repetitive motion injuries and keep the work engaging. The working hours are typically from 9 AM to 5 PM for openers or 10 AM to 5 PM for others, with a strong emphasis on consistent availability to ensure fair time off for all employees.
