As the Piping Superintendent , you’ll oversee the mechanical piping scope for major commercial construction projects. You’ll lead from the front—coordinating field crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining top-quality workmanship.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in commercial mechanical piping.
  • Hands-on experience with chilled water, hydronic, or steam systems in healthcare, industrial, or high-rise settings.
  • OSHA 30 certification (required).
  • Must be physically fit for field work and hold a valid driver’s license.

  • Welding certifications
  • Medical Gas credentials
  • Master HVAC/Plumber License.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate teams of pipefitters and welders on large commercial piping projects.
  • Oversee installation of chilled water, hydronic, and steam systems for hospitals, data centers, and high-rises.
  • Interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and coordination blueprints to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Manage hydrostatic testing, inspections, and QA/QC documentation .
  • Collaborate with plumbing and sheet metal teams to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, testing reports, and as-built records .
  • Mentor crew members, ensuring safety, productivity, and professional growth.
