The Piping Estimator will be responsible for ensuring timely estimates and submissions of proposals for a Mechanical Contractor in Charlotte, focusing on cost, schedule, and scope accuracy. This role emphasizes building relationships with clients and managing safety and compliance with local regulations.

  • Ensure timely estimates and submission of proposals with an emphasis on cost, schedule, and scope of work accuracy
  • Understand and manage safety requirements, local building codes, and tax information for each project per location
  • Manage site walk-throughs and document items observed and discussed with the client or key specialty contractors up to point of bid submission
  • Help build mutually rewarding relationships with potential clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Update and modify estimating database with cost data as required
  • 5 years of experience as an Estimator for a Mechanical Contractor
  • Four year degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Engineering or up to four years of directly related experience
