About The Position

C2O Americas is seeking a qualified and motivated Piping Designer to support major capital projects within the oil & gas, chemical, and heavy industrial sectors. Project Location: Approximately 50 miles west of Little Rock, Arkansas Note: This position is contingent upon project award.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical training in Drafting and Design preferred, but not required
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma with:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • At least 3 years in an EPC or Owner’s Representative environment supporting large capital projects in oil & gas, chemical, or heavy industrial sectors
  • Working knowledge of ANSI, ASME, API, and CSA design codes
  • Strong experience in process piping design and drafting
  • Proficiency in equipment layout, piping plans, isometric drawings, and material take-offs
  • Experience with as-built documentation and quality control/assurance processes
  • Proficiency with industry software, including: AutoPlant 3D, CadWorx Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D, Caesar II, ProCAD Suite and MicroStation (2D drafting and 3D modeling), Navisworks, Bluebeam, Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to represent client interests professionally
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pipe stress analysis preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review Mechanical and Piping Scope of Work packages and develop CADD designs/drawings based on engineering sketches, mark-ups, reference materials, and verbal instruction
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline design teams to ensure all requirements are clearly communicated and understood
  • Provide support for 2D drawing deliverables across active projects
  • Review completed deliverables prepared by other team members for accuracy and quality
  • Perform Piping Design Coordinator activities, including field walkdowns to document equipment arrangements, tie-in locations, and P&IDs
  • Prepare, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design details and resolve technical questions with engineering and project teams
  • Maintain and track remaining design activities to support timely completion of assignments, including coordination with internal and global team resources
  • Produce deliverables that are accurate, clear, and aligned with project design intent
  • Support Piping Design Coordination and Project Management with progress updates and presentations
