About The Position

Cuts, threads and bends metals and other products into various configurations. Assembles and installs metal and nonmetal pipes and fittings by performing the following duties in safe and reasonable productive time frames: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch. Must be able to follow verbal instructions, written and pictorial instructions. Must be able to use hand tools. Cuts, threads and bends pipe with hydraulic pipe bender and manual bender tool Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes and fittings‘ including iron, steel, copper and plastic. Ability to use acetylene and oxygen torch set. Read and interpret documents such as a layout drawing, builds of material and piping diagrams. Use of appropriate PPE (e.g., infrared-filtering safety glasses, flame resistant gloves, sleeves and shirt). Train and work in multiple types of manufacturing positions (i.e. Assembly, Wire and Weld). Other duties as assigned. Requirements

1-3yrs of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Ability to read and understand English instructions.
Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization.
Abilty to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to stand, use hands to handle or feel tools and parts.
Must reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk and climb or balance.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
