About the position

We are hiring a Pipeliner! Are you looking for an exciting career with multiple opportunities for advancement in the energy industry? Well if so, we have an outstanding opportunity for you! The Pipeliner will provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair, and cleanup as well as emergency preventative actions relating to abnormal right-of-way conditions to avert any possible incident. The role involves performing all types of applicable pipeline repair (e.g. sleeving, emergency repair, stopple, etc) using appropriate Company procedures including but not limited to tasks listed in Company manuals. The Pipeliner will also conduct line crossings, including receiving one call, reading maps, locating, contacting utilities, and landowners, as well as probing and staking the line. Understanding and complying with all safety requirements relative to the performance of pipeline maintenance duties is essential. The Pipeliner will complete required Performance Based Training forms documenting the process of learning and the ability to independently perform pipeliner tasks prior to achieving the status of Senior Pipeliner including heavy equipment operation. Additionally, the Pipeliner will act as a Company inspector of contract work as required and provide coverage as Pipeline Supervisor when required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair, and cleanup.
  • Perform all types of applicable pipeline repair using appropriate Company procedures.
  • Conduct line crossings, including receiving one call, reading maps, locating, contacting utilities, and landowners.
  • Understand and comply with all safety requirements relative to pipeline maintenance duties.
  • Complete required Performance Based Training forms.
  • Become Operator Qualified on all required covered tasks.
  • Act as a Company inspector of contract work as required.
  • Provide coverage as Pipeline Supervisor when required.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by Pipeline Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Ability to acquire a CDL Class A Driver's License with air brakes, hazardous materials, and tank vehicle endorsements.
  • Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.
  • Competence and experience in pipeline maintenance operating procedures preferred.
  • Basic understanding and use of computers.
