About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under limited supervision, this position will: Monitor and inspect for external atmospheric corrosion to maintain designated operating conditions. Collect coupons and assist with the facilitation of the internal corrosion program. Provide operations oversight for smart pig inline inspections, confirmation digs and other associated remediation tasks. Observe contractor s jobs to maintain agreed scope and verify accuracy of and field approve invoices. Develop and document purge plans, coordinate timing to meet business needs. Monitor and address changing production conditions to maintain and improve pipeline system efficiency. Create, assign, and complete work orders in response to issues found or maintenance needed on pipeline facilities. Accurately record GPS coordinates and submit to GIS for mapping of assets. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five (5) years of gas gathering and/ or facility operations experience.
  • Basic corrosion, internal, atmospheric, or cathodic protection knowledge.
  • Excavation experience in trenching, benching, and shoring.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies with a general understanding of regulatory requirements and processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of the pipeline system and valve settings, with capability to take on a wide range of pipeline responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and associated equipment.
  • Advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, growth, and direction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and foster and encourage teamwork.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate tank volumes and gas flow rates.
  • Ability to identify routine problems, situations, and provide input on resolution.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
  • Possess DOT Operator Qualifications for gas gathering and pipeline operations.
