About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under general supervision, this position will: Coordinate pipeline and maintenance crews to complete daily pigging, valve maintenance, gasket changes, painting, and related activities. Purge pipelines and pipeline equipment following proper procedures and regulations. Maintain efficient flow of gases and other materials, monitor pipeline, gathering system, equipment, etc. and communicate with other operators and technicians. Monitor product quality, perform proper service and maintenance, and respond to problems by troubleshooting including moderate to advanced repair of pipeline facilities. Maintain inventory control regarding the replacement and repair parts for pipeline equipment in order to ensure an adequate supply to perform work. Provide regular updates on activities, address issues, report abnormal and/ or unusual operating conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations. Collaborate with peers to identify and remedy issues and support operations. Respond to utility locate requests from WV 811. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required) High School Diploma or equivalent. At least three (3) years of gas gathering and/ or facility operations experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of gas gathering and/ or facility operations experience.
  • Functional knowledge of the pipeline system and valve settings.
  • General understanding of regulatory requirements and processes.
  • Moderate knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and associated equipment.
  • Advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, growth, and direction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and foster and encourage teamwork.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate tank volumes and gas flow rates.
  • Ability to identify routine problems and situations.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
  • Possess DOT Operator Qualifications for gas gathering and pipeline operations.
