About The Position

The role of the Pipeline Technician is to maintain the pipeline infrastructure of our clients. This is completed through launching and receiving pipeline pigs, maintenance of gearboxes and valves, pulling liquids from lines and trays, and following the schedules for work. Must maintain good communication with contractors, coworkers, management, through phone calls, text messages, and emails, and thoroughly document all work items listed through training. Assist in the capture of equipment in need for repair, modification, or expansion of pipeline infrastructure to comply with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, stand, climb and lift up to 75 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to read and understand maps.
  • Basic knowledge of pigging oil and gas lines and maintenance techniques.
  • Practical knowledge of parts, tools, and supplies used in pigging procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of pipeline installation and construction.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and solve problems.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must maintain a working cell phone for communication.
  • Knowledge of basic oilfield safety requirements and applicable safety regulations.
  • Must complete selected/required Operator Qualifications (OQ’s).
