This role is a hands-on field leadership position responsible for executing pipeline integrity NDT and inspection services while building and developing the department for long-term success. The Pipeline Integrity Operations Lead will serve as a key liaison between AIS and our clients, coordinating project needs, overseeing documentation and submittals, mentoring and training the next generation of technicians, and preparing personnel for Operator Qualification training and testing. This position plays a critical role in maintaining AIS’s reputation for technical excellence, safety, and client trust. The main duties include: Lead and perform pipeline integrity field assessments in accordance with client-specific requirements, applicable codes, and AIS procedures, utilizing methos such as UT, MT, PAUT, Creaform 3D scanning, corrosion mapping, and other related NDT technologies. Evaluate pipeline anomalies including, but not limited to, corrosion (internal and external), cracking, dents, deformations, coating assessments, long seam characterizations/inspection, and other integrity related conditions. Serve as the primary technical and operations point of contact between AIS and clients for pipeline integrity projects, coordinating scope, schedules, personnel, equipment, and deliverables. Ensure all inspection activities meet or exceed client expectations for quality, safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Review, prepare, and submit complete, accurate, and timely inspection reports, data packages, photographs, and supporting documentation in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
