Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Pipeline Project Engineer to join our Mandeville or Metairie Office Team. Position Type: Full-time Location: Mandeville or Metairie, LA Work Environment/Physical Demands: office/sedentary Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits Essential Functions: Seeking an individual to be utilized in a blended role supporting technical and project managerial needs with a concentration in pipelines and storage facilities. Function as part of Keystone's Mandeville or Metairie Office Multi-Discipline Project Team to ensure effective and successful execution of pipeline projects across a diverse Oil & Gas Client base supporting natural gas and liquids, pump stations, compressor stations, metering skids, pigging facilities, and product storage.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSME Preferred) from ABET
10+ years of relevant experience in pipeline projects
Experience and knowledge of Pipeline industry regulatory codes and standards, such as ASME, API, AWWA, ASTM, and MSS specifications.
Specific knowledge of ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and CFR.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate
Attention to detail

Responsibilities

Performs pipeline engineering tasks, including, but not limited to, basic pipeline engineering calculations involving sizing, hydraulics, pressure drops, wall thickness, etc.
Provide direction and oversight to design/drafting staff to develop high-quality design deliverables for construction.
Reviews vendor-provided data, documentation, and drawings.
Evaluates, selects, and applies appropriate standards, engineering methods, procedures, materials, and installation details.
Ensures that pipeline design meets industry best practices, pertinent codes and standards, governing regulations, and client requirements.
Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines on design deliverables.
Prepares and/or assists with conceptual studies, designs, budgetary estimates, and constructability reviews.
Participate in Proposal Development to include confirmation of scope, staffing requirements, extended labor & expense cost estimates, and schedule milestones.
Reviews and checks the work of other project team members.
Works effectively within established budgets and deadlines.
Identifies issues across projects, leads solution development, and ensures solutions are implemented.
Conducts/participates in regular team meetings and ensures effective project communications occur, and action items are completed.
Work with the Mapping Team to produce alignment drawings and coordinate with regulatory agencies, ROW, environmental, and archeological personnel involved in project execution.
