About The Position

Flippo Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe layer to join our team. The Pipe layer is responsible for effectively laying and repairing pipes. The Pipe layer is responsible for other manual work as it relates to the laying and repair of pipes. This position reports to the Foreman.

Flippo Construction Company, Inc. (FCCI) is an "EMPLOYEE OWNED" general and heavy construction business located in Forestville, MD and operating primarily in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Baltimore MD areas. Flippo's Operational services consists of Heavy Construction, including Bridges, Concrete Structures, Roadway and Site Work. We also provide utility installation, repairs, and long-term service/maintenance contracts for the major utility providers in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Pipe layer.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have knowledge of shoring and excavation.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of blueprints relating to underground utilities preferred.
• Pepco experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safely maneuvering in a work zone.
• Responsible for laying and repairing water, storm, sewer and conduit pipe lines.
