Requirements

• High School or Vocational education and/or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience within the construction industry.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Hard working and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Installation, testing, and commissioning of water, storm, and sanitary pipe and underground raceway.
• Installation of ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, and other buried piping systems up to and sometimes exceeding 48 inches in diameter.
• Cut and bevel pipe ends.
• Installation of push-on and mechanically restrained joint piping (e.g., Megalug).
• Assemble and install shoring and trench boxes in excavation as required.
• Assist Foreman, Engineers, and/or Superintendent in the layout of various piping systems.
• Hand excavation, digging of trenches, backfilling, raking, tamping, and compacting soil.
• Assembly of manholes, catch basins, and drainage structures.
• Monitor and guide excavation by equipment operator.
