About The Position

We are seeking applicants for a Pipefitter in our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America. Responsibilities: Work as part of a team in support of a paper manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including steam, water, and heating systems. Responsible for the installation and repairing of expansion joints, valves, gaskets, and steam traps. Read drawings, complete layouts, cut/join and fit pipe tubing. Ability to make pipe patterns for saddles, reducers, and offsets along with pipe fabrication. Maintain condensate systems. Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify piping systems. Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify natural gas, oxygen, gas (including chlorine), chemical, and process lines. Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify non-condensable lines. Perform ARC welding and TIG welding. Perform proper rigging and use of mobile cranes, lift conveyors, and hoists.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Ability to obtain a Minnesota High Pressure Piping License within 4 years.
  • Ability to sit, stoop, and bend.
  • Ability to work from heights.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have a current valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a paper or other manufacturing environment.
  • Completion of a formal pipefitter apprenticeship or currently enrolled in one or equivalent experience and training.
  • Preference given for applicants with a MN state plumbing license.
