About The Position

VMG is seeking experienced Pipefitters to support commercial and industrial projects across the DMV region. This role focuses on the installation, modification, and maintenance of piping systems, including hydronic heating and cooling systems, boilers, pumps, and related mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can work independently or as part of a team on active job sites.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Pipefitter, preferably in commercial mechanical construction
• Strong knowledge of hydronic heating and cooling systems
• Ability to read blueprints and isometric drawings
• Experience with welded and mechanical piping systems
• OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various job site conditions

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems (steel, copper, stainless, PEX)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Install pumps, valves, heat exchangers, expansion tanks, and mechanical equipment
• Perform pipe cutting, threading, grooving, brazing, soldering, and welding as required
• Conduct pressure testing and assist with system flushing and start-up
• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and other trades on active job sites
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
