You will report directly to our Facilities Manager, and you’ll work out of our South Bend, IN location with an onsite work schedule. In this role, you will impact our manufacturing equipment and building systems by providing technical support and expertise. Requirements

  • At least six (6) years of experience in pipefitting or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation techniques, and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in using pipefitting tools and equipment, including welding and soldering tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with safety regulations and compliance in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, fabricate mechanical piping systems
  • Install and repair hangers and brackets used to facilitate pipeline installation
  • Create holes in walls, floors, roofs, and panels for the installation of pipefitting components
  • Locate and repair leaks to pipeline systems
  • Maintain vacuum furnace systems and components (e.g. vacuum pumps, boosters, valves, filters, etc.)
  • Maintain compressed air systems and components
  • Maintain hot water/steam systems and components
  • Maintain city water/sprinkler piping and components
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic systems
  • Perform Predictive Maintenance Inspections (Vibration, Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound)
  • Perform basic equipment servicing (cleaning, lubrication, coolant, filters, etc.)
