About The Position
The position involves working with structural metal products, requiring the ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including the location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. The role includes laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting together fabricated parts, as well as setting up necessary equipment such as face blocks, jigs, and fixtures. The candidate must also be skilled in marking centerlines and reference points accurately and must have experience with threaded pipe and/or compressed air systems. Responsibilities may include positioning or tightening braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps for welding or riveting, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
