Pipefitter Top Helper - HQ Final Assembly
About The Position
Assist plumbers and pipefitters in the installation of industrial piping systems: chill water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water Drill holes, mount wall and ceiling pipe supports, and assist pipefitters in valve fitting Assist pipefitters to install valves, couplings, and other fittings Assist in the in the fabrication and installation of: Stainless steel weld pipes and tubing Carbon steel weld pipes Screw pipes Socket weld pipes Remove worn or damaged pipe and measure and cut new lengths Clean and maintain work areas, materials, and tools by removing debris and trash Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of a High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months to a year of experience in industrial construction industry preferred
- Basic plumbing repair, rigging, and valve maintenance preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and submittals preferred
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months to a year of experience in industrial construction industry preferred
