It is important to note that this position does not offer relocation assistance or per diem. In this role, the Pipefitter will select the type and size of pipe and related materials according to detailed drawings and job specifications. The individual will inspect worksites to identify any obstructions and plan the sequence of installation to avoid conflicts with other crafts. The job involves cutting and beveling pipes using various tools such as cutting torches, saws, and threading machines. Additionally, the Pipefitter will assemble and install a variety of valves and fittings, prepare pipes for welding, and secure pipes to structures using clamps, brackets, or hangers. The position also requires the use of various tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial projects, including cutting torches, threading machines, grinders, and beveling machines. The Pipefitter will be responsible for fabricating, installing, positioning, or connecting components for testing purposes, including hydrotesting. Safety is paramount, and the individual must be able to safely climb ladders of various heights while performing these tasks.
