About The Position

The Foreperson is responsible for directing employees, interpreting drawings and specifications, instructing skilled mechanics to ensure work quality, maintaining familiarity with jobsite safety plans, enforcing safe practices, conducting safety training, ensuring work meets or exceeds standards, preparing and submitting various reports (timesheets, safety, quality, quantity), planning work, taking accountability for their crew, motivating employees, and supporting their immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience

Nice To Haves

• NCEER Certified Plus (Preferred)
• Supervisory experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Direct employees and crew.
• Take responsibility and accountability for their crew.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Review and interpret drawings specifications.
• Instruct skilled mechanics so that work meets requirements.
• Be familiar with jobsite safety plan.
• Enforce safe practices.
• Conduct training in safety.
• Be familiar with work assigned and ensure that all work meets or exceeds the standards.
• Prepare and submit timesheets, safety reports, quality and quantity reports, and other required reports.
• Plan work.
• Motivate employees.
• Support his/her immediate supervisor in any possible manner to effectively perform their duties.
