The Pipe Yard Lead will coordinate, participate as well as supervise the activities of loading/unloading, transferring/ creating and monitoring work orders and Non Conformance Reporting. Direct workers in inspecting/maintaining rolling stack as well as handling and storing objects in the yard.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 + Years’ Experience working in a Pipe Yard
  • Experience maintaining and organizing an inventory system.
  • Skilled in critical thinking, reading comprehension, speaking, time management, management of personnel resources, and management of material resources.
  • Basic computer knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and SAP etc.
  • Experience operating forklifts/front end loaders.
  • High level of integrity and honesty
  • Ability to dress, act, and interact professionally with yard personnel, customers, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Program Manager
  • Coordinate job schedules between Sales, Pipe Yard, and Sourcing.
  • Coordinating activities between pipe yard and customer representatives, or outside vendors.
  • Schedule load outs and receipt of all materials.
  • Filling orders for pipe sales and ensuring proper load out.
  • Ensure products are properly managed in the inventory system.
  • Maintenance of the pipe yard, to include: ensuring the proper maintenance of roadways and pipe racks and any other general maintenance needed.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all paper work.
  • Initiating personnel evaluation of subordinates.
  • Exercising supervisory duties such as training, disciplining and recognizing extraordinary per.formances by subordinates.
  • Follow all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure personnel are properly attired and that safe working standards are maintained
