The Pipe Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating piping systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet safety, blueprint specifications, and industry standards. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding processes
Ability to read blueprints, pipe drawings, and instrumentation diagrams
Knowledge of pipe schedules, base materials, and welding applications
Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment
Ability to pass an internal welding test
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

Perform welding using assigned techniques (MIG and others as required)
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, weld symbols, and P&IDs
Select and apply appropriate wire and filler materials for various metals, including steel alloys and aluminum
Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Use conventional and precision measuring instruments
Complete process inspections, certifications, and documentation
Perform basic maintenance and inspection of welding equipment
Conduct finish grinding using manual and power tools
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
Support production needs and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
