About The Position

This position will report to H. B. McClure Company, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. At HB McClure, we’ve been serving communities across Central PA for over 110 years. We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our commercial construction and service team. In this role, you’ll support service technicians and new construction projects through hands-on, code-quality pipe welding in active jobsite environments. This position is ideal for experienced mechanical pipe welders with proven field experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems in commercial or industrial settings. including commercial/industrial boiler repairs and pressure-vessel work. What You’ll Do Perform field welding in mechanical rooms, boiler rooms and active construction environments Perform carbon steel pipe welding using SMAW E6010 root and E7018 cap Perform stainless steel pipe welding using GTAW (ER308L filler) Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core welding on steel and piping systems Fabricate, fit, and install welded components at job sites to specification Support commercial and industrial boiler repairs and pressure-vessel welding projects Inspect finished welds for quality and compliance What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent (required) Working knowledge of ASME Section IX and ability to weld to qualified WPS procedures 3+ years commercial or industrial welding experience with emphasis on carbon steel pipe welding and boiler repair/pressure-vessel work Demonstrated ability to perform 6010 root / 7018 cap welds Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety and solid communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Fluency in English (verbal and written). Pre-Hire Requirements Carbon steel pipe welding using SMAW E6010 root and E7018 cap (6G position); successful weld/fit testing required prior to hire Successful pre-hire physical, background check, and drug screening required. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Working knowledge of ASME Section IX and ability to weld to qualified WPS procedures
• 3+ years commercial or industrial welding experience with emphasis on carbon steel pipe welding and boiler repair/pressure-vessel work
• Demonstrated ability to perform 6010 root / 7018 cap welds
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety and solid communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
