About The Position

Primoris Energy Services is on the lookout for experienced Pipe Welders to join our project in Raleigh, NC. We provide competitive compensation based on your experience and skills. We're specifically looking for Pipe Welders proficient in self-fitting carbon steel pipe and SMAW (typically 6010/7010, 6010/7018).

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Combo Welder.
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and Stick.
• Strong knowledge of industrial welding safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
• Pass welding tests (e.g. AWS, ASME, API) at certified facility.
• Successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, pipe and building and bridge parts using gas and/or electric welding equipment as specified by layout.
• Read drawings, understand dimensions, layout pipe, fit pipe, weld pipe and clean.
• Signal with HEOs, work with helpers, follow superintendent's instruction.
• Capable of other welding processes (GTAW) and installing other pipe material (Ductile and HDPE).
• Be willing to help with non-welding tasks with shovels, cleanup, etc.
