About The Position

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Superintendent for our large heavy civil project located in Chinle, AZ.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale pipeline projects.
  • Strong knowledge of steel pipe installation techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of common MS office programs
  • Willingness to work long hours
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Relevant experience can waive degree.

Responsibilities

  • Safety.
  • Management of field operations- At assigned area.
  • Quality Control.
  • Planning/ Scheduling inspections/Interactions with inspector regarding assigned area.
  • Scheduling /Oversight of subcontractor in your assigned area.
  • Attend weekly subcontractor coordination meeting.
  • Responsible for planning and execution including, managing 4-week lookahead schedules and daily schedules.
  • Assist in developing work plans.
  • Review and be familiar with prime contract documents, specifications, shop drawings and submittals.
  • Review and be familiar with subcontract agreements.
  • Conduct Foreman Meetings.
  • On-site Coordination with sub-contractors.
  • Coordination with in-house equipment department.
  • Follow company safety program, laws, and OSHA operating standards.
  • Manage job-site cleanliness.
  • Review timesheets for field personnel.
  • Prepare daily report.
  • Mentor and help grow Asst. Superintendents and Foreman.
  • Maintain professional relationships with Owner, Engineer and Subcontractors.
  • Attending cost review meetings to help forecast the budget for future operations and identifying cost variances.
  • Facilitate 4 weeks look ahead Meeting- Attendance Required
  • Equipment utilization and forecast mobilization and demobilization.
  • Material ordering and cost control.
  • Inspect lines, grades, confirm all testing prior to calling inspection or engineer to witness.
  • Verify pay application quantities.
  • Verify stored materials meet storage requirements.
