About The Position

The Pipe Stress Engineer position at ENERCON is a critical role within our Federal Services Group, aimed at supporting both nuclear and non-nuclear projects. This position is available in multiple locations including Kennesaw, GA, Fort Worth, TX, Dallas, TX, Naperville, IL, Aiken, SC, Kennewick, WA, and Overland Park, KS. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive documentation related to pipe stress analysis and supporting the design of process and utility piping systems. This includes performing piping flexibility analysis, evaluating local stresses, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. The role requires the engineer to conduct both static and dynamic analyses for critical piping systems, addressing various operational scenarios such as sustained, thermal, and multiple operating cases, as well as occasional conditions like wind, seismic activity, and water hammer. The engineer will also be tasked with identifying and locating pipe supports, coordinating with the Civil/Structure group to assist in the design and selection of supports, and resolving high pipe loads on equipment nozzles. Additionally, the engineer will prepare error-free engineering documents for commercial nuclear facilities, ensuring adherence to client and regulatory requirements. A key aspect of this position is maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and standards, as well as fostering strong relationships with clients through effective communication and quality engineering products. The engineer will also be expected to provide peer and technical reviews of designs and documentation produced by others, ensuring that all designs are compatible with the requirements of various disciplines.
