About The Position

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Pipe Layer for the Water Mountain West/ Apache Junction Sewer District WRF Expansion Project , in Apache Junction, Arizona . The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned. Requirements

1 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
