About The Position
Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking a Pipe Layer for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids project in Jonesboro, GA. This role involves performing pipe-laying tasks, including physical labor such as laying, joining, wrapping, and sealing various types of pipe on construction jobsites (commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects). The Pipe Layer may also operate hand and/or power tools, prepare the site, and assist with other assigned duties. Requirements
- Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities
- Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
- Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
- Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
