About The Position

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Pipe Layer for the WEGA/224214 Hard Labor project in Social Circle, GA. This role involves performing physical labor tasks such as laying, joining, wrapping, and sealing various types of pipes (water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits) on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction jobsites. The Pipe Layer may also operate hand and/or power tools, prepare the site, and assist with other assigned duties. Requirements

• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity
• May be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
• Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
