Pipe Layer and Laborer

About the position

Southland Holdings company is currently hiring Pipe Layers & Pipe Laborers. The position involves construction work related to laying sanitary sewer, utilities, pipeline, RCP storm drain, and waterline. Candidates must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain and be prepared to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The role requires the ability to work independently while maintaining a schedule, and candidates should have an exceptional attendance record. Overtime availability is also a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Laying sanitary sewer, utilities, pipeline, RCP storm drain, and waterline.
• Navigating rugged terrain to perform job duties.
• Working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Maintaining a schedule of work and working independently.
• Standing, squatting, stooping, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Construction experience laying sanitary sewer, utilities, pipeline, RCP storm drain, and waterline.
• Physically capable of navigating rugged terrain.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Exceptional attendance record.
• Availability to work overtime.
• Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
• Must pass post-offer drug screen and E-verify all candidates.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of related construction experience, particularly in pipeline, water treatment, and RCP storm drain.
• OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Ability to set up laser online and grade.
• Experience in large diameter ductile iron water main.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
