About The Position

Are you an experienced construction professional with an interest in managing site utilities? Join us at Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) as a Pipework Foreman! In this role, you'll oversee all pipework activities on our construction sites, ensuring that projects meet specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in planning, coordinating, and executing pipework operations, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five plus years of previous heavy civil construction experience installing a variety of site utilities, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, and electric duct banks.
  • Familiarity with a variety of materials and installation methods to ensure installations meet plans and specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and direct others effectively.
  • Experience setting and checking line and grade for utility installation using various methods, including stakes and cut sheets, pipe laser, and GPS rover knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure required materials are delivered on time and layout needs are communicated to the surveyor.
  • Set up work areas to safely perform tasks.
  • Work with the superintendent and general foreman to build utility crews and develop plans for site utilities in coordination with earthwork crews or other contractors.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors related to site utilities, such as aggregate suppliers or municipal suppliers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and schedules.
  • Provide status updates and communicate any issues with the superintendent and project manager.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees and personnel on site by maintaining compliance with all applicable OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for all as-builts and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
