About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Pipe Foreman to lead crews on utility construction projects in the Boone, North Carolina area. This position requires hands-on leadership and a strong background in installing storm water, water, and sewer pipe systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of managing daily field operations while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pipe Foreman or similar leadership role
• Proven experience with storm water, water, and sewer pipe installation
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and elevations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GPS and/or laser grading equipment
• Equipment operation experience (excavator, loader, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of pipe crews
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes
• Oversee installation of storm drainage, water lines, and sanitary sewer systems
• Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and timelines
• Maintain safety compliance and enforce company safety policies
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Monitor materials, equipment usage, and crew productivity
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide solutions on-site
