Summary/Objective: Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains commercial and industrial production. Processes piping systems while directing a field crew. Ability to interpret and follow schedules. Assists Site Superintendent with day-to-day activities of field crew. In addition to supervisory responsibility, this position is that of a working foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.

Requirements

5 years pipe fitting experience
Ability to successfully supervise large crews (20+)
Capable of reading/understanding drawings & P&ID's
Must be able to use a computer for access to project models and electronic drawings
Knowledge to field measure/layout of pipe systems in the field
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Nice To Haves

Prior military experience
HS diploma or GED equivalet

Responsibilities

Supervises field crew, subcontractor and craft activities, including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, mechanical, scheduling and documentation
Interprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawings
Oversees layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings
Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions
Works pipe crews safely and productively in an outdoor or indoor manufacturing, process facility
Responsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks
Tracks time sheets, plan/schedule work and generate material takeoff's from plans as needed
Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
Manages installation of pipe systems and related materials and equipment, such as supports and hangers, according to job specifications
Tests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks
Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies
Comfortable working at heights
Performs other duties as assigned
