About The Position
Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, specializing in delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form. This role is for a Pipe Fitting & Welding Lead who will be responsible for fitting and welding piping systems to specification, sequence, and schedule. The lead will oversee the full spool lifecycle, from material preparation to fitting, welding, and quality control readiness, ensuring both throughput and craftsmanship. The position requires leadership in fabricating spool assemblies and system piping, ensuring code compliance, and tracking progress.
Requirements
- Ability to fit and weld piping systems to spec, sequence, and schedule
- Experience in accurate layout, support installation, and final spool readiness
- Proficiency in material preparation, fitting, welding, and QC readiness for spools
- Demonstrated ability to balance throughput and craftsmanship
- Experience leading fabrication of spool assemblies and system piping
- Knowledge of and ability to ensure code compliance (ASME, AWS) and proper documentation
- Ability to track fitting/welding progress per module schedule
- Strong leadership skills to train new fitters/welders and uphold discipline
- Problem-solving skills to flag design issues or missing BOM early and escalate quickly
