About The Position

The Pipe Cutter/Grinder at Enerflex Ltd is responsible for fitting up and tack welding pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and grades according to fabrication drawings and work orders. This entry-level position requires the use of various power tools and involves inspecting materials for damage, ensuring compliance with specifications, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• Ability to read a standard tape measure.
• Familiarity with isometric drawings.
• Experience with power tools, pneumatic tools, band saws, plasma cutters, and overhead cranes.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and another language.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials before placing them on the saw or burner table.
• Report any significant damage to the pipe cutting lead hand or supervisor.
• Double check the heat numbers stamped on the material and report any deviations.
• Cross-reference heat numbers with the stamped number provided by the manufacturer.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area in alignment with the 5S program.
