Job Description We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an entry level PIP Claims Representative in MI PIP Claims. The position requires the person to: Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, and pay benefits that are owed. Review medical bills, authorize payments and ensure payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Michigan No-Fault Statute. Administer benefits payable under the Michigan No-Fault Statute, Work toward the resolution of claims, and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary. Service the needs of agents, policyholders and others. Handle investigations by phone and mail. Conduct claim investigations on complex claims.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to resolve complex issues
  • Organize and interpret data
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Detailed oriented
