About The Position

Pinecrest, Florida (in South Miami) Monday-Friday 10am – 6pm. Competitive compensation reflecting candidate’s demonstrable experience Friendly family is seeking a personable, experienced housekeeper to maintain the family’s residence in the Pinecrest area of south Miami. The large home, filled with high-end furnishings and finishes, is lived in 10+ months of the year by a professional couple and their two school-aged children. The family is gregarious and welcoming, with high standards of cleanliness and orderliness. A personable candidate is sought, with extensive demonstrable experience and excellent English-language skills (no exceptions). The position is available immediately for the right candidate seeking a rewarding long-term role. The main responsibilities of the role center around maintaining the family home in a clean and tidy manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Daily housekeeping and general upkeep of the residence, including; o Making the beds. Tidying and straightening up the bedrooms. o Arranging furniture and decorations. o Caring for delicate surfaces, independently researching appropriate methods as needed. o Bathroom cleaning, mirrors, counters, etc. Refreshing towels on designated days. o Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning, in particular clearing cooking and dining areas after meals including (early) weekday family dinners. o All laundry and ironing for the family. o Limited floor care, supporting autonomous robot vacuum. o Selectively assisting with unpacking and clothes closet organization. o Cleaning some easily accessible windows & managing glass cleaning contractor. o Organizing kitchen cabinets and fridges. Helping to monitor food expiration. o Organization of back-of-house pantry and managing household cleaning supply stocks. o Online shopping for cleaning supplies and equipment. o Assisting in taking out / bringing in garbage and recycling bins. Identifying maintenance and repair needs within the household, reporting these to the employer or other employees. Performing errands, primarily grocery shopping and management of dry cleaning. Home organization projects under the direction of Employers. Minding the home during regular hours whilst the family is traveling. In addition, the role requires assistance in: Monitoring access to the home, permitting access to scheduled services and deliveries. Welcoming house guests, helping prepare and serve basic refreshments for visitors. Supporting occasional house guests in a similar fashion to the resident family. Help setting up for larger party or dinner invitations, directing outside service providers. This role means becoming an integral part of the household whilst working in what is the family’s permanent home, working continuously with the family throughout the day. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and with consideration of the home simultaneously also being a home office location for the Employers. The family also has a personal Executive Assistant, a childcare professional, as well as a visiting chef, all of whom this candidate will regularly interact with.
