About The Position

Pine Tree Camps at Lynn University is an American Camp Association accredited day and overnight camp in Boca Raton, Florida. Pine Tree Camps promotes growth and fun in an environment that's fully committed to the latest standards in health and safety. Pine Tree Camps offers a variety of programs for campers ages 5 to 14 ranging from traditional skill-building camps to sports camps, overnight camps, and camp counselor training programs. Pine Tree Camps provides unmatched personal attention that cultivates a strong sense of personal achievement in every camper. Our campers have fun, make friends, taste independence, and enjoy traditional camp games and activities while making friendships that last a lifetime. We have positions for staff in the following activities, but are always open to new and different activities: Sports: Archery, Fishing, Fitness Classes, Go-Karting, Karate / Self Defense, Pickleball, Tennis, Yoga Water Sports: Boating, Canoeing Arts: Arts & Crafts, Creative Arts, Dance, Drama, Editable Crafts, Music.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess leadership qualities and the ability to use sound judgment.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience teaching your activity area of interest.
  • Must be available to work from Mon-Fri, 35-40 hours a week, for all 9 weeks of camp plus a week of camp training (5/26/26-7/31/26).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and supervise a safe and fun program in area of expertise.
  • Manage the ordering of supplies needed.
  • Ensure lesson plans are completed and implemented to deliver high-quality programs to campers ages 5 –14.
  • Manage daily program success and the development of the campers’ skills and abilities, specifically evaluating age differences.
  • Communicate all daily program needs and expectations with group counselors.
  • Focus on skill development to campers.
  • Manage the upkeep of all programming facilities, areas, and equipment.
  • Create an inventory and manage programming equipment.
  • Discuss planning and implementation during staff training.
  • Ensure campers and staff adhere to safety precautions when participating in programming.
  • Manage program areas and ensure hazards are kept to a minimum.
  • Conduct daily checks of all program facilities and equipment.
  • Identify, maintain, and create an inventory of all program equipment.
  • Note when repairs are needed, or new program materials are needed.
  • Assist other program staff when needed.
